I should be asleep- but instead of finished this...woodpecker-ish bird?

The feathers definitely look "embossed," but their design is not incorrect. They are more noticable, therefore, than we might otherwise be able to notice, say, if we saw one in a tree or sitting on a fence, but it does make the creation more stark, which makes it seem more unique and magnanimous than the typical sparrow or other tiny birds we see all the time, as though we have caught him right before he is about to vamoose. The pose, also, tingled with a "coiled restraint," like looking at a picture of a gun just before the gunman is about to pull the trigger. Likey
