Part 6 of a series of 12.

The Dragon is the fifth animal of the zodiac. It's main element is wood.

The Tiger, Rabbit, and Dragon are all have the main element of Wood.

Blue = Water
Green = Wood
Orange/red + Yellow = Fire
Brown = Earth
Grey + Dark Grey = Metal

The Kanji means "the dragon", this is the Traditional Chinese Kanji.

Next will be the Snake.

If you're born after February 5th 2000 then yeah, you are in the year of the dragon.

Chinese New Year (or Lunar New Year) isn't on January first like a regular (aka Gregorian) year, but on their lunar calendar - which is usually 2 new moons after the Winter Solstice.
